All About Molly

Her younger sister gets more blog time, doesn't she? Partly because Molly doesn't do such outrageously funny things anymore, and when she does, she's 10 and would find it SO humiliating to have Mom telling other people all about it. But she's my girl too! Her schedule is actually the most demanding of the family. Here she is on her scooter, something else she's good at and enjoys, along with her bike. Molly has tons of cardiovascular endurance, which make her an awesome forward in soccer. She is getting impressively good at her violin and holds the distinction of being the best violinist in her school strings program. She has a beautiful singing voice and her choir teacher is impressed with her ear and pitch. We went to teacher conferences last night and she's a great student all around. An accomplishment for Molly - an A in math!!! (Poor thing, she's Mama's girl there.) There's some hope for her though, being Daddy's girl in science apparently. Best subject is social studies...again, like Mom. The remarkable thing about Molly is how EVERYONE loves her - little children, kids her age, adults. For her, this unfortunately means getting paired up with the troublemakers in classroom assignments. The upside is that she always has a full social calendar. She had a few days/half days off this week due to conferences, and ALL of them had girls calling wanting her to come over. In the past 24 hours, she was at a slumber party, then at another friend's house. Her friends, thankfully, are super nice kids we like quite a bit. She's growing up: when I heard about the goings on at the slumber party it struck me how the little girl days are almost over. A little sad, but there is something sweet about watching your daughter grow up so nicely.
