Happy Halloween!

What a fun day! Annie got to have a parade and party all morning at preschool. Molly had a party but felt a little ripped off since it started at 2:30. Trick-or-treat was great. Had some friends - Molly played soccer with their 5th grader - come for dinner and out with us. A little sad since they are moving to Seattle tomorrow. But the weather was beautiful and our neighborhood was festive as usual. We have to bring a lantern because there are no streetlights (adds some atmosphere) and a lot of the neighbors really get into the spirit. Decked out houses, full size candy bars for the kids - and have you ever been offered an alcoholic beverage while trick-or-treating with your kids?! In this neighborhood people ride on golf carts to do their visiting, there is no such thing as too many yard ornaments, and you can catch some karaoke on nice summer evenings. One year we were invited to trick-or-treat with Molly's friends on the rich side of the neighborhood, but it was disappointingly not as much fun and we've never done it since! We hopped over to Jamie and Glenn's so they could see the girls' costumes and Abby Cadabby fell asleep in the car. So she's sleeping with a face full of make-up. Dr. Rozelle made it to bed, but barely. The almost Dr. Rozelle too. I should take this opportunity to get some work done...but I think I'll join them...
