Portfolio: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

On Anna's last day of preschool, the teacher gave me Anna's portfolio (a compilation of work, quotes, pictures, and happenings of Anna's during the year).  Anna could go down a few different paths in her future...

1. The Good:
"Anna likes coming to preschool because 'You are my favorite teacher.' "(said to the teacher).
Having brown nosing skills can come in handy.

"Anna explained to the class that an echo is 'When you say something, you hear what you said.'" Knowing the answers to tough questions and being able to explain yourself can come in handy too.

"Anna participates in all gym activities. " Way to be a team player, Anna. Exercise is good too.

"Anna poured water from Chinese teapots into plastic cups and then back into the teapot.  No spills."  Coordination!  Something she didn't inherit, that's for sure.

"Anna was interested in the Greetings Around the World Poster.  She wanted to know how other children said hello." Oooh - a few good ones here. Curiosity, cultural awareness, learning other languages.

2. The Bad:
"My favorite thing about school: recess."  That's never a good answer.

"Anna loves to play the Little Mermaid."  Booooo. Why the princess thing?

Anna still had "working on it" in some areas of dexterity like manipulating buttons.  This is inherited.

" The number 10 was missing from the calendar.  Anna said, 'It bounced off the ceiling and flew into the carpet and went into the radio and singed.'" Ouch.  Lots of bad ones here.  Bad grammar, not how the radio works, and what are you smokin' sweetie? ;)

3. The Ugly:
The teachers asked about who their parents were.  Anna answered ,"My dad is so tall.  His name is Jeffrey John."  They then must've asked about mom.  Anna answered, "Oh, you mean Tiff."

The teachers took a picture of each child's shoes, and then captioned with where the children said their shoes went.  "Anna's shoes can go to a party."

Obviously, I'm trying to be humorous.  I was very impressed with her portfolio.
