These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

My mom and dad came to visit this weekend for probably what was their last time to East Lansing.  Being such, we visited campus for one final trip to some of their favorite MSU places.  As I was snapping some pictures, it was evident to me how much I was going to miss these things we have made part of our lives here.

The horticultural gardens.  Next to the children's garden, and always perfectly groomed.  Amazing annual and perennial beds, a pond full of frogs, several fountains, and a beautiful rose garden.  Another gem on campus we will miss. (Moll took this photo).
The indoor children's garden is just about as charming as the outdoor one with lots of pint-sized hideaways and points of interest.  In the spring, it is full of all kinds of butterflies.  The girls could spend hours here.
The MSU Dairy Store.  Not only the tastiest, but cheapest ice cream in town.  Anna enjoying her cone with Sesquacentennial (sp?) Swirl.  It's like a birthday cake.  Her hands down favorite and a favorite of mine.  When we go out for ice cream, this is the only place that will do.

Great ice-cream face pic. I can totally hear you singing Sound of Music songs in my head.
